I don't know how to even begin to write this. I'm not very good at things like this, but I just can't stop thinking about this and I just feel so helpless.
I received an email last week about a friend of mine from elementary school, Lindsay. Long story short, she had been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia in both lungs. Lindsay's been in critical condition in the ICU for at least a week. They have her on a ventilator and last I heard, also a feeding tube. Over the last few days, she's suffered through a collapsed lung and developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. This morning, they suspected that she may have fluid in one, or both, of her lungs. As you can see, this is all very serious.
Lindsay is only 28 years old. She's a wife and a mother of two very young boys. Please, please keep her in your prayers. If praying isn't your thing, please send positive thoughts and vibes to her. Give her and her family the strength to get through all this.
I haven't seen or talked to Lindsay in almost 15 years, but hearing about this just broke my heart and I can't stop thinking about her.
